Borussia Dortmund will be aiming for their second victory of the Bundesliga season when they take on FC Heidenheim on Friday at Signal Iduna Park in what will be each team’s third league match of the 2024-25 campaign.
Dortmund comes into the match following a 0-0 draw against Werder Bremen on August 31, placing them fourth with four points after two games. Meanwhile, Heidenheim leads the table with six points after a commanding 4-0 win over Augsburg on September 1.
The draw between Dortmund and Werder Bremen was largely uneventful, with both teams producing a combined expected goals (xG) of just 0.98.
