Fourth-tier team Phonix Lubeck will aim for a major upset as they face off against Borussia Dortmund in the first round of the DFB-Pokal at the Volksparkstadion on Saturday.
Currently sitting 10th in the Regionalliga North with three points from two matches, the home side will be up against a formidable opponent, as Dortmund prepares for their 2024-25 Bundesliga season opener against Eintracht Frankfurt on August 24.
Phonix Lubeck kicked off their league campaign with a 2-0 loss to Blau-Weiss Lohne on August 3, but bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Oldenburg on August 10.
