In search of their first points of the new Ligue 1 season, Saint-Etienne will welcome Lille to Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on matchday four this Friday.
Saint-Etienne currently sits at the bottom of the table following a 4-0 defeat to Brest before the international break, while Lille dropped to sixth place after a 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in their previous match.
Saint-Etienne’s return to Ligue 1 has been anything but smooth, as they’ve struggled to prove they can compete at this level after two seasons away from the top tier.
