The home team is making their first appearance in European competition since their Europa League round of 32 exit in the 2011-12 season. In contrast, the visitors are debuting in this competition.
Wisla Krakow has a rich history in European tournaments, having reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League in 1978-79 and the round of 16 in the Europa League in 2002-03. However, they haven’t participated in European competition since their 2011-12 Europa League campaign.
